Four plenary lectures (by Robert Field, Suzana Pereira Nunes, Lidietta Giorno and TorOve Leiknes), 13 oral sessions (Novel membranes I-II; Transport and fouling; Water and wastewater I-II; Gas separation I-II; Fuel cells and ionselective membranes; Membrane reactors and bioreactors; Hybrid processes; Pertraction; Pervaporation; Food and beverage – two in parallel) and two poster sessions took place over the four-day conference that comprised 92 oral presentations and 153 posters. A complete set of conference proceedings is available on CD-ROM. Additionally, one-page summaries appeared in Abstract Book. As a result of the conference, a number of selected papers will be published in Desalination.
